What’s the difference between Heat Sublimation Printing and Wet Printing? WET PRINTING During the wet printing process, dye is applied directly to the fabric, typically with an acid dye on a nylon-base fabric. The dye penetrates all the way through the fabric during the wet print process. HEAT SUBLIMATION PRINTING During heat transfer, or sublimation printing, a design is transferred from paper to fabric using both heat and pressure. With sublimation printing, the solid dye is actually turned into a gas form when it is heated, and is often done on polyester-blended fabrics because polyester can withstand higher temperatures during the sublimation or heat transfer process. - The fashion manufacturing industry is filled with unanswered questions.
