'Anglican version of RECHOV SUMSUM, the Israeli co-production of SESAME STREET, and an inheritor of its influential style of educational programming. The series was hosted by Big Bird-type porcupine Kippi Ben Kippod and Oscar the Grouch\'s Israeli cousin, Moishe Oofnik. The program introduces Judaism and Israel to children not particularly fluent in Hebrew. It ran between 1986 to 1990 on some of the same outlets carrying SESAME STREET, which opted to distribute the show independently of PBS. In this episode, Sarah Jessica Parker (who eventually went on to achieve worldwide mega-fame as part of the cast of SEX AND THE CITY) plays Jerusalem Jones, a woman on a quest to help the Shalom Sesame folks find the afikomen so they can end the Passover seder. Also starring Mary Tyler Moore, Anne Meara, Alan King and Moishe Oofnik\'s American cousin, Oscar the Grouch (R.I.P. to his performer, Carroll Spinney). From the American Friends of Rechov Sumsum.
