'The design of this house celebrates the challenges posed by limited opportunities to connect to nature and extreme heat in the region. The spatial organization structures an open space within the boundary to accomplish the objective of providing seamless connectivity to this bio phillic space which also creates micro-climate within. This micro-climatically cooled air is pulled in due to stack effect along with prevention of heat gain from the west side radiation and roof. These passive strategies help in modulating thermal conditions. This along with saving of embodied energy by exposed walls and concrete plus rainwater harvesting, solar heating e.t.c. demonstrates a modest approach towards sustainability.
