'Special Operations Command puts potential recruits to the test'

'Australian Defence Force School of Special Operations instructors put around 50 aspiring Special Operations Force candidates through the Special Forces Entry Test at Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney.  Special Operations Force includes special forces soldiers as well as doctors, nurses, medics, signallers, engineers, logisticians, intelligence analysts, and other key personnel who closely support special operations.  Candidates aiming to become Special Forces soldiers within the Special Air Service Regiment or the 1st or 2nd Commando Regiments need to pass the Special Forces Entry Test including physical and cognitive tests and meet discipline, ethical, and performance requirements before being invited to attempt one of two three-week-long special forces selection courses conducted each year.
