'Doris attends FIDM\'s 28th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition and interviews curator Kevin Jones, providing insight into costume design and highlights costumes from 2019 as well the Academy Award nominees. Kevin has been involved in 20 of FIDM\'s Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibitions; he explains the process of procuring costumes for the exhibit and predicting nominees for best costume design. All 5 Academy Award® Nominees for Costume Design Opening February 4, 2020: Free Admission Los Angeles, California: Celebrating the creativity of Costume Designers for film in 2019, the FIDM Museum will present the “Art of Motion Picture Costume Design” exhibition for the 28th year. Opening Tuesday, February 4, 2020, see costumes created by all five Academy Award nominees. Representing the past year in cinema, visitors will see over 100 outstanding costume designs from 30 films and: All 5 Academy Award Nominees for Costume Design Featured “The Irishman” by Sandy Powell and Christopher Peterson “Jojo Rabbit” by Mayes C. Rubeo “Joker” by Mark Bridges “Little Women” by Jacqueline Durran “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” by Arianne Phillips This major exhibition is the only one of its kind in the world that pays homage each year to the creativity of the costume designer for film with a museum show of outstanding costumes and Oscar® nominated designs.The exhibition is free to the public, opens Tuesday, February 4 and closes Saturday, March 21, 2020. Visitors’ hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. –5:00 p.m., closed Sunday/Monday. Located on the campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, FIDM Museum is at 9th Street and Grand Avenue.
