'(8 Sep 2018) KENDALL JENNER AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA ENJOY LONGCHAMP\'S FIRST RUNWAY SHOW Longchamp Paris is celebrating 70 years of fashion success with their first runway show during New York Fashion Week. Newly engaged Priyanka Chopra, Kate Moss and Debby Ryan were among the attendees at Saturday\'s (8 SEPT. 2018) show, set high above the New York City skyline, with views of the World Trade Center and Statue of Liberty. \"I love Longchamp. The fact that it\'s the first show is huge and very exciting,\" said Ryan. \"Having been a fan of the brand and having worn the brand has been like really cool and exciting. It\'s been my favorite like pieces to reincorporate even after a couple years are nice. Being able to be here and watch everything. They have such incredible models and I\'m really excited for them.\" Kendall Jenner, the face of the brand, arrived at the show in a bright purple, suede mini-dress and gladiator sandals that were also featured in the fashion show. Longchamp\'s Artistic Director, Sophie Delafontaine, said Jenner \"embodies all the values\" of the brand. \"Of course Kendall is really an iconic woman. She\'s not only a model, she\'s also a very smart woman. She\'s a business woman. She\'s independent, she\'s international, she\'s beautiful of course. She really embodies all of the values of Longchamp,\" Delafontaine said. Jenner, one of the new wave of supermodels, sat with a supermodel of the nineties, Kate Moss. The two also chatted and posed for photos before the show began. Longchamp was founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, originally known as a luxury leather goods company. They achieved much notoriety decades later in the 1990\'s when they launched their now infamous nylon women\'s foldable handbag called, \'Le Pliage.\' They\'ve since branched out to shoes, fashion accessories and ready-to-wear clothing. Delafontaine said that\'s why it was time for a fashion show. \"Finally we are here and I\'m very happy. I can\'t wait to start. It\'s a great moment for Longchamp. It\'s really a statement for the brand. It\'s our 70th anniversary and I\'m very proud to show the creative part of Longchamp here in New York,\" Delafontaine said. Saturday\'s show featured leather and suede looks draped in fringe. Long sheer dresses with bikini\'s underneath. All the models walked in knee-high gladiator sandals or fuzzy flat slip on shoes. Cindy Crawford\'s daughter, Kaia Gerber, walked the runway.
