Holi (pronunciation: /ˈhoʊliː/; Sanskrit: होली Holī) is a spring festival, also known as the festival of colours or the festival of sharing love.[5][6] It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia.[7] It is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and other regions of the world with significant populations of Hindus or people of Indian origin. In recent years the festival has spread to parts of Europe and North America as a spring celebration of love, frolic, and colours.[8][9][10] Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather, sing, dance and party. The next morning is a free-for-all carnival of colours,[7] where participants play, chase and colour each other with dry powder and coloured water, with some carrying water guns and coloured water-filled balloons for their water fight. Anyone and everyone is fair game, friend or stranger, rich or poor, man or woman, children and elders. The frolic and fight with colours occurs in the open streets, open parks, outside temples and buildings. Groups carry drums and other musical instruments, go from place to place, sing and dance. People visit family, friends and foes to throw colour powders on each other, laugh and gossip, then share Holi delicacies, food and drinks. Some drinks are intoxicating. For example, Bhang, an intoxicating ingredient made from cannabis leaves, is mixed into drinks and sweets and consumed by many.[11][12] In the evening, after sobering up, people dress up and visit friends and family.[1][13] Holi is celebrated at the approach of the vernal equinox,[7] on the Phalguna Purnima (Full Moon). The festival date varies every year, per the Hindu calendar, and typically comes in March, sometimes February in the Gregorian Calendar. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships, and is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.[7][14] Happy Holi 2016 - Beautiful wishes, greetings,SMS,Whatsapp Video,E-card,Quotes Happy Holi 2016 - images, wishes,Holi wishes Video for whatsapp and facebook,Hindi shayari for Holi,Holi quotes,Holi best wishes,Holi E-greeting, Beautiful, sweet and cute Holi wishes, spring season, kumkuma, colours, red, green, yellow, blue, brown, black, white, pink, orange, vasantha panchami, palash, Basanta Ustav, Holika bonfire, phalguna purnima, rangpanchami, bhang, powders, festival of colours, telugu wishes, Happy Holi 2016, spring season, kumkuma, colours, red, green, yellow, blue, brown, black, white, pink, orange, vasantha panchami, palash, Basanta Ustav, Holika bonfire, phalguna purnima, rangpanchami, bhang, powders, festival of colours, telugu wishes, home made natural colours, organic colours, herbal colours, how to prepare, home made organic colours, home made herbal colours, at home, making, easy method, rangoli, holi colours, liquid colours, gulal, sindhur, gulal recipe, For father from son, for father from daughter, for mother from son, for mother from daughter, for son from father, for daughter from father, for son from mother, for daughter from father, for grand father from grand daughter, for grand father from grand son, for grand son from grand father, for grand daughter from grand father, for grand mother from grand son, for grand mother from grand daughter, for grand son from grand mother, for grand daughter from grand mother, for uncle from son in law, for uncle from daughter in law, for son in law from uncle, for daughter in law from uncle, for aunt from son in law, for aunt from daughter in law, for son in law from aunt, for daughter in law from aunt, for lover from love, for love from lover, for husband from wife, for wife from husband, for teacher from student, for student from teacher, -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: \"Quick & Easy Masala Bhindi Recipe for School Children lunch box | School lunch ideas for kids\" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwOz1RfVVK8 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-'
