Home Designer Pro 10 software from Chief Architect. If you\'ve ever dreamt about designing your own home or if you\'re already a working architect, this software might be exactly what you need to make those dreams a reality. At a little under 500 dollars for the option we\'re discussing here, Home Designer Pro is a reasonably expensive program, but Chief Architect is sensitive to that fact, and offers a 30-day trail for you to get aquainted with the software. This is a great idea to start, since it will give you a much better idea of what you\'re working with. There are two less expensive options, but neither are as comprehensive as Home Designer Pro. More than just a basic computer assisted design program, Home Designer Pro 10 offers 2 dimensional floor plans, elevation and vertical views. It allows placement of consumer appliances and furniture to help you get a better idea of what a room will look like when its full of your belongings, and you can add customizable windows, walls, beams, columns and much more. Details such as length, depth, height, colour, texture, opacity and more are fully programable, and leave the user with a much better idea of how a room or home will look that a simple blueprint would. The detail oriented person will not be left wanting. As well, there are video tutorials and a detailed book in pdf format as well as a \"getting started\" guide to assist you in getting familiar with the software. And when compared to competitors like AutoCAD or 3DS, Home Designer Professional is a much less expensive option that requires no professional training. However, to say it requires no training is not to say its easy. Just like anything from Adobe Illustrator to SketchUp, practice makes perfect, and the more you use Home Designer Pro, the better you\'ll get at it, whether you\'re designing your dream home or you\'re just having fun designing. The package includes home designer software like architectural, interiors, landscape and deck, and more advanced tools to help you design like a pro. Home Designer includues automated building tools, and can help for a project as big as a mansion, or as small as a kitchen add-on. And it can be customized to your lot conditions, whether you live on a sloping hill, at lakefront, or in the desert. All things considered, this program is the best option for anyone who wants to pursue architectural design, and a very good option for those who have made it their livelihood. Home Designer Pro 10 is a bit pricey, but when considering the alternatives, its the best bang for your buck, whether you want to be Frank Gehry or you just really liked building houses in the Sims.'
