'More than ever now, we want to know what goes into our food. Food dye has gotten a bad rap, so if you don’t want to use it or want an all-natural solution then this is for you.   Fruits, vegetables, and spices have a strong pigment which is what makes them perfect for Homemade Food Coloring.  I am going to show you 2 methods. Check out the full video. Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook time for each color- 5- 15mintues Total Cook Time: 30 mins (Just for making juices/color extract) Total Cook Time: 1 hr(for making all colors and concentrated color/gel) Active Standing Time: 30 minutes Servings: 4 to 6 Blender model: Instant Ace plus Instant ace plus blender: (USA: https://amzn.to/3fpJchA) Bottles: (USA: https://amzn.to/3emPnBm) (India: https://amzn.to/2OiWqRm)  Nutrition (Approximate): serving size: 1 drop Calories: 1 | Total Fat: 0g | Saturated Fat: 0g | Cholesterol: 7mg | Carbohydrates: 0g | Sugar: 0g  NO NEED FOR PERFECT PROPORTION. In the end, all we need is a liquid color or gel.  Important: Method 1: Liquid Food Color ·  You can extract the juices from the fruits and vegetables (follow the steps) and strain it. ·  Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Add 1 teaspoon to icings, frostings, or batter. Add more coloring, if necessary. Method 2: Food Gel · You can extract the juices from the fruits and vegetables (follow the steps) and strain it. · Take a saucepan, add the extracted juice, and ½ to 1 cup of water(adjust according to your need) just to dilute the juice. Adding water will neutralize the flavor of fruits and veggies. · Saute it for 5 to 10 minutes till it thickens like shown in the video. · Let it cools down completely, it thickens more. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 weeks. Note: · Make sure to use a dry spoon for every use. · Strain the juice using nut milk bag or muslin cloth for a better and fast process.  Choose your color below and simply follow the instructions. 1. Red Color: Beet Root ·  Boil the beets and blend the beets with water. ·  Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. · Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 2. Orange Color: Carrot · Blend the carrots and water together. Strain the juice. · Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. · Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 3. Green Color: Spinach ·  Boil the spinach and blend it with water. ·  Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. · Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 4. Violet Color: Purple Cabbage ·   Boil the cabbage and blend it with water. ·   Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. ·  Cool it down and store it in the fridge. NOTE: If you want nice purple color just boil the cabbage in the water and reserve that water alone. If you add baking soda to it you will get a sky blue color. 5. Yellow Color: Mango ·  Blend the mango and water. ·  Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. ·  Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 6. Light Pink Color: Raspberry ·  Blend the Raspberries and water. ·  Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. ·  Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 7. Magenta Color: Blueberry ·  Blend the Raspberries and water. ·  Strain the juice and store it in an airtight container or to make a gel boil it in a pan till you get a thick consistency. · Cool it down and store it in the fridge. 8. For Sea Color: ·  To the 1cup of violet color juice add less than ½ tsp of baking soda you will get nice Caribbean sea color. 9. For  nice Pink Color: ·   To the 1 cup of violet color juice add 3 to 4 drops of lemon juice you will get a nice pink color.
