But Prince did just that in 2007 when he shot the video for “Chelsea Rodgers,” a track from his 2007 album Planet Earth that he wrote about a mysterious former model turned “21st century hippie.” The lyrics for the song are a sharp contrast to the high-fashion glitz and glamour of London Fashion Week, with Prince singing about leaving the modeling world behind in pursuit of spirituality. The verses are a reflection of Prince’s ongoing relationship with the Jehovah’s Witness faith and his ever-evolving understanding of his own spirituality and beliefs, with references to vegetarianism and forgoing the celebration of anniversaries and birthdays. “The day that we stop counting, we live as long as a tree,” he sings. “Go ahead Chelsea, teach me!” #Prince #PlanetEarth #Funk'
