'Live recording of My Chemical Romance on 2003-06-08 at Bloomfield Ave Cafe in Montclair, NJ, US. See this description for the full context of the show itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xNFCjx6qbA 00:00:00 - Honey, This Mirror Isn\'t Big Enough For The Two Of Us (cut and with audio issues) 00:02:22 - Our Lady Of Sorrows 00:05:45 - Headfirst For Halos 00:10:31 - Skylines And Turnstiles 00:15:20 - It\'s Not A Fashion Statement, It\'s A Fucking Deathwish 00:19:52 - Demolition Lovers 00:27:26 - This Is The Best Day Ever 00:31:58 - Vampires Will Never Hurt You The story of this recording is a bit complicated and I hesitate to stake claim on this recording without making a case for it since we cannot definitively--and beyond a reasonable doubt--prove the lineage or our ownership. --- This soundboard source was clearly circulated as evidenced by individual tracks[1] and the \"full show\"[2] on YouTube. The tracks are absolutely sourced from this recording. The \"full show\" sounds very peculiar and is missing two tracks for very specific reasons. YouTube user \"Jeremy McKinnon\" claimed that they recorded this show from the soundboard with a Minidisc recorder and omitted two \"new\" tracks at the band\'s request. They also claimed to have lost the master. They do not speak to the quality itself, only the missing tracks, with which the details of what was omitted were partially incorrect.[3] The thing is, this \"full show\" variant sounds eerily similar to what a 2003 internet stream would\'ve sounded like. Streaming these shows in 2003 was something I was known to do via Winamp and a link on my website.[4] The band personally instructed me to not leak any new songs (ie: Fashion Statement) and I wouldn\'t have included \"Honey\" due it being cut and its quality caused by early-show soundboard adjustments. It stands to reason that the \"full show\" variant is a stream rip. This would account for the quality and missing songs. From what we can recall, @deadhoarse I were both at this show. We went to many shows together. We almost always taped together. We also often tried to get an audience and soundboard recording. I do not think it\'s likely that there were two soundboard patches that night. Neither @deadhoarse nor I recall there being anyone else at the board with us. Even if there was a second patch, it\'s unlikely that it would sound as bad as the \"full show\" recording. I\'m convinced that it\'s a stream recording. Here\'s where it gets murky. We cannot find the master Minidisc for the soundboard recording of this particular show. However, what I did unearth were transfers of both the audience and soundboard recordings from 2003 on an archived hard drive. These files were created 2003-06-09 and 2003-06-19/20 respectively. They also have specific hallmarks that indicate they were created by me, including the file naming convention, cue sheets, and that they were encoded with the SHN lossless format as per my workflow at the time.[5] To explore the notion that the soundboard source is not ours, it\'s possible that: 1. We did not record the soundboard and we\'re missing a second audience recording. Doesn\'t explain the quality of \"Jeremy McKinnon\'s\" supposed source, though. 2. @deadhoarse wasn\'t there; both of our memories regarding this show are fuzzy at best. There were a lot of shows, a lot of recordings, and a lot of time has passed. 3. Someone traded or gifted this recording to me. Trade is highly unlikely since I did not trade my MCR recordings. 4. \"Jeremy McKinnon\" had a second patch on the board. Unlikely because of the questionable quality of said recording and the improbable likelihood of a soundboard operator supplying a second patch. 5. \"Jeremy McKinnon\" had the only patch on the board, they or someone else gifted the recording to me, I streamed it with songs cut, someone captured a recording of that. --- So that\'s where this recording stands. We cannot definitively pin down its origin since we do not have possession of the master, but there are other pieces of circumstantial evidence to indicate that it could be ours but, also, that it might not be.
