'In this video, I\'m going to show you how to do butt kicks, a simple exercise which has long been a classic training exercise for runners. This cardio move strengthens the hamstrings, which is what helps increase acceleration and speed. But you don’t have to be a runner to benefit from this total body exercise! Not only does it work the hamstrings, but it’s also a great way to work the glutes and stretch your quads to prepare for movement. No matter how you do butt kicks, in place or jogging over a distance, you’ll be firing up your heart and boosting your metabolism, which is how to burn fat fast. Here\'s how to do butt kickers: 1. Bend your knee up and try to get the heel up toward your butt, and keep switching sides. 2. As you do that, you\'ll feel it through your quads, and you\'ll feel your knees start to warm up. You can keep it nice and slow and keep it low-impact. 3. As you pick up the pace, you\'ll start to add impact. Drive your heels all the way up to your glutes, and you can engage your arms by keeping them moving. 4. Breathe through your mouth. You\'ll get your heart rate up, you\'ll warm up the front of the legs, and you\'ll feel great.
