The walls are made of hempcrete, a solid building material made from a mixture of hemp fibers and a lime-based binder. Hempcrete is an insulating material that is fireproof, earthquake resistant, and non-toxic. It took 6 months to have the hempcrete room permitted since the material is still quite uncommon. The Ranch\'s native garden is more than beautiful. It provides an oasis for creates of all kinds and attracts native birds and bugs. Native gardens require less water and fertilizer, making them more efficient to maintain and more friendly to the local ecosystem.
